The Fauci–Mengele Non‑Saga: A Public Health Ghost Story for the Terminally Online

How a bureaucrat became a boogeyman, and why the real horror is the century‑old tension between medical authority and public trust

Let’s begin with the obvious: Anthony Fauci is not Josef Mengele. Not a reincarnation, not a spiritual successor, not a spectral echo, not even a distant bureaucratic cousin twice removed. The comparison is so historically illiterate it should arrive with its own warning label. Mengele was a racial‑ideology hobbyist with a medical license; Fauci is a career immunologist who spent decades trapped in the fluorescent purgatory of federal public health administration. One tortured prisoners in a death camp. The other tortured Americans with PowerPoint slides.
